Question 1

What exactly is a Wishly product?

Accepted Answer

A Wishly is a personalised gift with a built-in small digital screen and a button. Every day a new personal wish appears on the screen when you press the button, written by you and discovered by the recipient.

Question 2

Who is a Wishly for?

Accepted Answer

Wishly is meant for adults who want to give a personal gift. Think of a partner, parent, friend, new parents or a colleague. You don't give a standard text, but a series of personal messages shown over several days.

Question 3

What are the different products?

Accepted Answer

Right now we have the WishBear (a little bear, perfect as a baby gift), the WishTree (a Christmas tree for the holidays) and, soon, the WishFlower. Each product has its own character and occasion.

Question 4

How long do the wishes last?

Accepted Answer

The wishes are stored on the product itself. They are kept for as long as the battery works. No subscription, no cloud, no expiry date.

Question 5

Do I or the recipient need a phone or app?

Accepted Answer

No. You write your wishes on our website. After you order, we load them onto the product. They then appear automatically on the display whenever the recipient presses the button.

Question 6

When does the recipient see the next wish?

Accepted Answer

The first wish appears as soon as the recipient presses the button. After that, a new wish appears every 24 hours when the button is pressed.

Question 7

How many wishes can I include?

Accepted Answer

You can enter a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 14 wishes per product.

Question 8

When do I write the wishes?

Accepted Answer

You can enter your wishes right after choosing your product. When you place the order, we load the wishes into your Wishly and send it to the recipient. You can also create an account first and come back later to enter the wishes.

Question 9

Can I still change a wish after placing my order?

Accepted Answer

After you place your order, we get to work loading your wishes as soon as possible. Still want to change something? Please contact us as soon as possible via the contact form. We can often still make small changes if we haven't started yet, but unfortunately we can't guarantee this. So check your wishes carefully before placing the order.

Question 10

How long can a wish be?

Accepted Answer

A wish can contain a maximum of 140 characters.

Question 11

Can I also use emoji or special characters in my wishes?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately we currently only support standard text. Emoji and special characters may not display correctly on the screen. We recommend writing your wishes in simple text for the best readability.

Question 12

Can I make multiple Wishlys with the same wishes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can. You can enter the same set of wishes for multiple Wishlys in one order. Do make sure you enter the right wishes for each Wishly, so every recipient gets the right personal messages.

Question 13

How do I order a Wishly?

Accepted Answer

Choose your product, select a colour (if available), the number of wishes and (optionally) extra options. Enter your wishes and click 'Add to cart'. Then enter your details and pay via iDEAL/Wero. After payment you will receive a confirmation by email.

Question 14

Can I place multiple Wishlys in one order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can. You can add multiple products to your cart. Please note: for each product you enter the series of wishes you want, so every recipient gets the right personal messages.

Question 15

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept payments via iDEAL/Wero. Other payment methods are not available at the moment.

Question 16

Can I cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

You can, as long as the status of your order is still 'pending'. Go to your account page, find your order and click 'Cancel'. After cancelling you will receive a confirmation by email. Please note: if we have already started loading the wishes, we unfortunately can no longer cancel the order.

Question 17

How quickly will my order be shipped?

Accepted Answer

Did you order before 16:00, submit all your wishes and choose the earliest possible delivery date? Then we hand your parcel to PostNL the same day. If you choose a later delivery date, we ship your parcel so that it arrives at the latest on that day. Letterbox parcels are usually delivered within 2 delivery days (Tuesday to Saturday). You will receive a shipping confirmation by email with a track & trace code as soon as your order has been shipped.

Question 18

What are the shipping costs?

Accepted Answer

Shipping costs within the Netherlands are €4,95 per shipping address for up to 6 Wishlys, which are sent together as a letterbox parcel. Having 7 or more Wishlys delivered to the same address? Then we send them as a parcel and you pay €7,95 for that address.

Question 19

Can I return my order?

Accepted Answer

You have the right to return your order within 14 days of receiving it. You may try out your Wishly to check that it works, just as in a shop. If the hardware logs show that the message sequence has already been (largely) played through, we reserve the right to charge a reduction in value of up to 100%. Contact us within 14 days via the contact form with the topic "return" and state your order number. We will then email you the return instructions.

Question 20

What battery does the product need?

Accepted Answer

The product runs on one AAA battery. The battery is included.

Question 21

How long does the battery last?

Accepted Answer

That depends on how the product is used, but on average a Wishly lasts a month on one AAA battery.

Question 22

The display has stopped working, what now?

Accepted Answer

The slider is probably set to 'off' or the battery is empty. Slide the switch on the back in the opposite direction or replace the battery via the battery compartment on the underside of the product. Still not working? Submit a support question via our form and we will help you quickly.

Question 23

Is the product suitable for children?

Accepted Answer

The WishBear is meant as a gift from adults to new parents (for example for a birth or a visit to the new baby). The product is not a toy for children. Because of the electronics and battery, it is not suitable for young children to play with or use unsupervised.
